Tuesday night pie at The Huntsman – delicious. Dog walking in Langsett Woods. Meals and reunions with friends. A wonderful week. Thank you PeterK&K, Essex and London, June 2019
2nd time here and hope to come again next year. Very peaceful and relaxing with beautiful walks.MC, Herefordshire. June 2019
Another lovely 4 days here.
Very wet initially, but then sunny, and the fire has been lovely. We do hope to be back, it is so peaceful. Super Sunday lunch at The Huntsman, but they don’t take cards.
We spent a relaxing few days here, a lovely clean, tidy cottage with everything catered for. Peter is very friendly and there to help if needed.
Comfortable warm cottage.
Plenty of accessible walks in the area, as well as more challenging ones. Had a relaxing few days, just what was needed to recharge the batteries.
A country retreat that isn’t a million miles away.
Nice property close to Sheffield, in a quiet village, Peter was a perfect host… We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend the place.
This is our fourth visit to this lovely house and one of our best. We stayed for a week this time, and still wasn’t enough time. Scarborough, Whitby, Dunford-Penistone trail, Langsett, Southport. Weather not too bad for January – enjoyed the warmth and cosiness of the log burner. We will be back.S & D, Colchester, January 2018

Many thanks for all your help, we really enjoyed our few days in your very cosy cottage, everything we needed. Weather could have been kinder.J & J, Norfolk, October 2017
New Year celebrated in a peaceful, rural setting.
We stayed here for the New Year. The cottage was warm and very homely. Peter had put a lot of thought into ensuring that you had everything you needed, including tea, coffee, milk, eggs, sugar, teatowels, bathroom towels, hairdryer, iron and even a hi-vis vest for when we took our dog out in the dark. There were even electric blankets on the beds. The view from the kitchen window overlooks the farm and moors. We will definately return.
Thank you for your hospitality. The accommodation was just right for our needs and your helpfulness was really appreciated.T & A, Somerset, April 2018

23rd visit… Many happy memories.C&P, Hampshire, Sept 2017
We had a super weekend stay in this delightful cosy cottage on the edge of the peak district. The views from the cottage or truly beautiful and unrestricted. The cottage was clean, organised with good instructions on arrival. The wifi worked well and the log fire was a nice addition in the evenings. A highly recommended stay.R, via Airbnb, May 2017
An extremely comfortable and cosy cottage in a picturesque setting.
The kitchen was very well equipped, and the lounge had comfortable chairs. It was all very clean and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others, and to return there ourselves!
